Obama unraveling

These are giddy days for us Obama opponents.

Obama1. His IRS hunts down people with “unacceptable” political opinions. Think Joseph McCarthy.

2. His Justice Department grabs phone logs from The Associated Press. Think Joseph Goebbels.

3. His minions downplaying Benghazi, and deflecting blame from terrorists just months before last year’s election. Think disgusting.

4. A report this week indicates health-care premiums could go up by 400 percent* under ObamaCare. Think incompetence.

5. The White House is still foot-dragging on filling Cabinet posts in the second term. But who needs advisers when you’re king** and rule by decree?

One wonders if those who voted for Obama because he’s “black”*** and white America has done so many dreadful things****  remain happy?

* * * *

* Don’t worry. The average will be just 100 percent.

** Meanwhile, the queen is shaking her booty on late-night comedy TV or going glam at the Oscars.

*** He isn’t. He’s bi.

**** It hasn’t. Quite the contrary.

  1. Yes, the “Tea Party”, whose very name tells us they do not believe in paying taxes, is given special attention by the IRS. Who’da thought?

      1. Debra: Here’s why the comment was silly: The Tea Party folks don’t advocate not paying taxes. They do advocate, as do so many people, lowering taxes and a wiser use of federal finances.

Croft is, of course, thinking of the original Tea Party when Americans tossed the British tea into the bay to protest taxation without representation, or something like that. He is confusing his centuries.

One must keep in mind that Croft, a Canadian whom I have met personally and know to be an amiable guy with a good heart, really, holds a special place in that very same heart for the likes of Fidel Castro and the recently departed Hugo Chavez. This means that you cannot have a rational back-and-forth with him regarding politics. Other things, yes, politics no.

One could certainly further argue that it’s impossible to have a rational discussion with anyone about politics. Or religion. Uh, I think that observation has been made before.

  2. Never voted for him. Never liked his policies! He’s done very few good things since he’s been in the white house.

  3. Too bad he doesn’t take a few more vacations. That way there would be less damage done.

Same with Congress, talk about do nothing. Their approval rate is close to single digits, last poll.

  4. Right, the USA deficit is falling at record rates and everyone is running around looking for something that makes Obama look bad. Like an employee of the IRS trying to give the idiots at the Tea Party a hard time. It’s the Economy, stupid. And the economy is looking good. Dow is at record highs if you haven’t noticed. Obama is doing a good job. People are starting to like Americans again.

  5. “This is the first I’ve heard of it” and “I’m going to get to the bottom of this” seem to be Obama’s favorite catch phrases of late. Seems that all he knows of what’s going on around him is who is on the guest list for the next party at the White House.

Croft, D Day for the American economy is going to be January 1st, 2014, when The “Affordable” Care Act kicks into high gear.

  6. The reason the stock market is up is because of all that funny money the Feds keep printing. The median household income has declined for four years in a row and the poverty in the US has exploded. But Goldman Sachs is doing great and all those luxury estates in the Hamptons are selling just fine.

It would be nice if we had a media that would report the actual news. We have the Benghazi scandal, the IRS scandal, AP scandal, fast and furious scandal and the ObamaCare fiasco. Is there anything that will stick to this incompetent in the White House?

    1. Jackie: It appears that more and more is sticking to him. He’s off to a grand start in Term No. 2. Wouldn’t it be great if he got impeached? Almost four more years in which to do that.

  7. “It’s important to review why the Tea Party groups were petitioning the I.R.S. anyway. They were seeking approval to operate under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. This would require them to be “social welfare,” not political, operations. There are significant advantages to being a 501(c)(4). These groups don’t pay taxes; they don’t have to disclose their donors—unlike traditional political organizations, such as political-action committees. In return for the tax advantage and the secrecy, the 501(c)(4) organizations must refrain from traditional partisan political activity, like endorsing candidates.”
    -Ottawa Citizen

Under the circumstances, the IRS would be at fault if they did NOT investigate these applications. Claiming they are not a political organization but rather a social welfare organization? Like a soup kitchen or Toys for Tots? Give me a break! They are political organizations and as such their donors must be disclosed.

Why would you NOT want your name disclosed if you are proud of what you are doing?

    1. Croft: A good number of Democrats and even Obama-lover John Stewart see it differently. Plus, the IRS is falling over itself to “apologize.” Pass the news on to the Ottawa Citizen.

      1. Then the “good number of Democrats and even Obama-lover John Stewart” are wrong. The Tea Party is a political organization. Are you arguing this is not the case?
