The wisdom of Winston

Winston Churchill was one of the greatest and wisest men of the 20th century, a master of war and politics.

A passionate defender of liberty.

He was fortunate to perish before the mind poison called Political Correctness warped Western culture, imperiling all that is positive and civilized.

WinstonOne of the countless evil things Political Correctness embraces is the Mohammedan religion. It is embraced for no other reason than it is anti-Christian and anti-Jewish.

Political Correctness is also anti-American, anti-capitalism, anti-white, against most people and things that brought us modernity, comfort, health and liberty.

In 1899, Churchill published his book The River War, an account of British and Mohammedan fighting in the Sudan.

Here are some prescient excerpts:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property — either as a child, a wife, or a concubine.*

No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.

Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith . . . and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilization of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilization of ancient Rome.

And over a century later, little has changed. What Churchill didn’t mention was the Mohammedan’s preferred government: “royalty” or religious fanaticism.

  1. When Obama took over there were three secular Islamic nations on the Mediterranean, Egypt, Libya and Syria. An Islamist party took over in Turkey in 2002. What happened to these three secular nations?

    1. Andres: As you undoubtedly know, Egypt is now firmly in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood, and Obama sends them millions in aid and arms. Syria is engulfed in civil war. Mohammedan radicals will win that one. Count on it. Libya is simply a mess.

  2. We are told by the PC people and the “experts” that Islam is a religion of peace and the majority of Muslims just want to live in peace. This is meaningless. The truth is the fanatics rule Islam. It’s the fanatics who are killing Christians around the world. It’s the fanatics that are suicide bombers. It’s the fanatics that teach their children to become Jihadists. It’s always the fanatics that destroy our way of life.

In some parts of Canada the Lord’s Prayer was removed from schools because it was too offensive, but Islamic prayer is allowed. Here in the US we have a new federal academic program called core. Buried in this mess is the teaching that Allah is the one true God.

Islam is not only a religion, it is a political agenda and it’s evil.

  3. You quote Churchill: “Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science”. What?? That is as silly as the notion that the Universe was created in seven days 6000 years ago. I think I have socks that old.

    1. Croft: I thought about you when I read that part. I figured you would focus on it. I’m not sure exactly what Churchill was getting at with that sentence. It might have made more sense a century ago. I don’t think any religion is sheltered in the arms of science. Religion rests in the embrace of faith, and that’s fine with me.

    2. Croft: I think I read over that part too quickly before, and so did you. Looking longer at that quote, Churchill immediately says “the science against which it had vainly struggled,” so he’s recognizing the conflict between religion and science, and that science largely won out, a science, a modernity, that created modern Europe. It’s modern, scientific Europe that withstood Mohammedan zealotry. Alas, it’s not doing that anymore. Europe is knuckling under to the Mohammedans due to PC nuttiness.

Mohammedans are infiltrating Europe to a frightening degree, even getting assists from leftist governments (your people), not unlike all the tax goodies that the family of the Boston bombers raked in for many years before biting the American hand that was feeding them.

  4. Winston was a great guy. That’s why my sister named her parakeet after him. Or maybe she liked the cigarette brand? That’s another story. The problem with pointing out the problems associated with Islam is that it is never enough to expose things that are flawed. That’s why I seek to live in supernaturally natural ways that attract people to the truth of Jesus Christ. It’s like the war on drugs. My generation was bombarded with lectures and films that warned about the evils of drug use. After school, kids joined pot and pill parties. What we needed then and now, it the attraction of something that fills the heart and mind with love and truth. Again, only in Jesus can that ever be achieved. Europeans on the whole are agnostic, atheistic, or Christian in name only. The vacuum in the heart left by abandoning Christ has opened inroads for myths and lies to fill the hearts of people. Again? What’s the solution? Pointing out the wrong way never turns people around. People change when confronted by God, who is Love.
