Mohammedan myth

MEET BEN SHAPIRO, a conservative Jew, both religiously and politically. He’s one of my favorite fellows, a political activist, pundit and writer for the Right Side.

He’s the Honcho of the online news site, Truth Revolt, which is an arm of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, a conservative think tank.

Shapiro is young, fearless and incredibly articulate. Now and then, he inexplicably is invited to speak at an elite university, and much of the student body and faculty, whom Shapiro refers to as “snowflakes,”  go stark, raving insane.

They throw things. They scream. They holler. They toss red paint to represent blood. They foam at the mouth.

They heave their plushy bears out of their playpens.

And Shapiro, unfazed, keeps on speaking through it all.

This common reaction on campuses today highlights the hilarious irony of the left’s referring to Donald Trump as dangerous, a man who incites violence.

The left-wing Democrat Party is all about violence, either verbal or both physical and verbal.

True, Trump increasingly says that pushing back is justified, and he is correct. The Jews of 1930s Europe did not push back, and remember how that ended for them.

The increasing political violence in the United States began on the left, and it’s growing daily. It’s the left that abhors free speech, not the conservatives. It’s the left that shouts down contrary opinions, not the conservatives.

Were Bill Ayers to be invited to speak at one of the very few conservative campuses, he would be listened to politely or, more likely, he would be ignored.

He would not be physically threatened or even bellowed at because conservatives are polite people.

Today, Shapiro is addressing the myth that most Mohammedans are peaceful or — more correctly — that most do not harbor radical, violent attitudes.

While it is true that most do not actually murder “the infidels” or even stone women of their own religion, most do think it’s a real swell idea much of the time.

  1. I’ve always admired your unabashed propensity to speak your mind come what may. Oh, and by the way, I love Ben Shapiro and his prescient insights into our political quagmire.

  2. Of course he is right to a degree. There is a very fuzzy line between thinking ‘Sharia law should be the law of the country’ and ‘120 million radicalized Muslims’. I guess using that kind of logic, when Donald Duck is elected president, it means that all Americans can sucker punch anyone they disagree with.

        1. Kris: Only time will tell. If Trump gets elected, I’m betting he’ll mellow out a bit. Most of the histrionics now are simply to win votes, and it’s working quite well.

I’m still on the Cruz Train, however.

  3. Genital mutilation and honor killing of Muslim women is so 13th century and so gruesome. In Europe, the Muslim invasion is starting to cause the collapse of civilization and the return to barbarism.

According to George Soros, the EU has to accept at least a million asylum-seekers annually for the foreseeable future. And, to do that, it must share the burden fairly. Soros also supports the Southern Poverty Law Center, Media Matters and in the U.S. has taken credit for the violence at a cancelled Trump event in Chicago.

Angela Merkel’s insanity in Germany of accepting over a million Muslim refugees last year is finally creating a political storm with Alternative for Germany (AfD), the country’s rising anti-immigrant, right-wing populist party.

    1. Andrés: You sound so anti-multicultural. I am embarrassed for you. I may have to report you to the proper authorities.

In all seriousness, however, one has to chuckle (or cry) at what the Europeans have done to themselves, and what Weepy Barry would do to the United States were he able to.

One also has to roll eyeballs at people, many of whom are well-meaning, who still vote for Democrat candidates and who send their kids to the elite universities for brainwashing and advanced degrees in trendy non-subjects.

  4. After pondering a bit, I should have converted to Islam, it would have been a lot cheaper than my divorce and a lot quicker to an end solution.

    1. Tancho: Excellent point. Quick solution to the immediate problem. You get rid of the gal immediately. And there’s the long-range advantage too. No alimony.

  5. Who could adhere to a religion like this?

Worse is the practice of marrying girls as young as 6 to some old man. Sometimes they die. But wasn’t Aisha but 6 years old when she was married to the prophet?

Then there is the practice of prostituting young boys. Our forces in Afghanistan have watched as this happens. Why do they put up with this?

    1. Señor Gill: Some years back, I wrote a post about why people embrace the particular religion they embrace, and it is so.

      1. The area of the world in which they are born.

      2. The religion of their parents, which is also almost always determined by the area of the world.

It’s geographical and familial, having nothing to do with any actual supreme being and his/her (I always prefer her) “Holy Book.”

Some people venture away from those two factors, but most do not.

  6. Buenas tardes, my friend! I like everything about this post. I believe most of these many millions of Muslims, at their core, hate the US and at worst condone radical behavior, and at best just look the other way. I had not heretofore read Mr Shapiro. I will correct that. I do frequent the Jewish World Review. I recommend the site!

    1. Señor Bent: Good to hear from you. Yes, young Shapiro is a very impressive guy. He’s only about 28, married to a lovely babe and has a child, a daughter, I think it is.

I followed your link, and the first name I noticed was Dennis Prager, another favorite of mine. Sharp fellows all.

Yes, the Mohammedan world is not fond of the West in general, and the lefties, of course, blame the United States. I think the Mohammedans detest lots of things due, in part, to living in despotisms for centuries. They have lots of “issues,” and one of the worst is their religion.

  7. Felipe, motioning towards the Muslim, turns to the Jew and says “screw him” and the Jew says “out of what?”

    1. Clete: Ethnic jokes based on stereotypes! I love ’em. Keep up the good work.

But, sadly, I’ll be reporting you to the Politburo. Pack your bags. The train leaves in the morning for Siberia. Consider yourself lucky.

  8. I figured it would be a sucker punch with an elbow to the face and then thrown to the ground by the cops by some “mellow” conservative intellectuals.
