Man with child

I’VE HAD A nodding acquaintance with this fellow for over 15 years. On passing, we nod, smile and say hi.

I have no idea who he is or what he does. But he’s always struck me as a good egg. I like him.

Yesterday, I spotted him downtown toting a tot.

Based on appearance, it would be easy to mistake him for one of the Gringos who live here, but he’s not. He’s Mexican.

  1. Great photo. My guess is that this man is a grandfather, or “pops” as my little grand daughter (who is about the same age) calls me.

You’ve passed this man for 15 years with nothing more than a nod? For goodness sake, man, buy him a coffee and have a conversation. His beard alone holds a story worth hearing.

    1. Ray: Probably the grandfather, but he’s not as old as the long, gray beard makes him look. As for buying a coffee and a conversation, I’m holding off on that till you arrive.

    1. Dave: Thanks for the kind feedback. I don’t think it’s so much that I’m good with the camera because I usually snap many shots of the same thing, and then later, if lucky, I have a good one to use. There were about 10 of these before it got culled down to this specific one.

My talent, such as it is, is that I know a good thing when I see it. An eye, so to speak.
