Trump: the reaction

FOR EVERY ACTION, there is a reaction.

Donald Trump is a reaction. Below are a few examples of the actions to which The Donald is the reaction. These examples have been growing for decades. People are fed up.

Normal people, that is.

They are “mad as hell, and they’re not going to take it anymore,” a paraphrase you may recall from the 1976 movie Network.

uturnThe actions began to increase markedly after the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, which gave America a sigh of relief and the freedom to focus on trivialities and stupidities.

The culture spiraled downward rapidly.

The following list just touches on the absurdities coursing through the veins of America. It is a long list, and you can flesh it out easily. You know you can.

  1. Choose your own gender. Choose your own public restroom.
  2. Black lives matter. Only black lives matter.
  3. Shout down and threaten non-leftist speakers at elite universities.
  4. Everyone who disagrees with you is a racist.
  5. Mohammedan terrorists are our pals.
  6. Israel is bad.
  7. Christians are evil and idiotic.
  8. Open borders.
  9. Sanctuary cities.
  10. Gay marriages.
  11. “White privilege.”
  12. America is a bad nation.
  13. Common Core (i.e. leftist indoctrination).
  14. Ignore the Constitution.
  15. Barack Hussein Obama.
  16. His 2009 Apology Tour.
  17. That Nobel Peace Prize.
  18. “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.”
  19. “Workplace violence.”
  20. Women in the Marine Corps infantry.
  21. Policemen are murderers.
  22. Lena Dunham.
  23. Halloween costume enforcement.
  24. Beyoncé half-time shows in black leather.
  25. Eric Holder’s gun-running.
  26. Wearing little sombreros to a party is godawful.

These things and plenty more of their ilk have given rise to The Donald. You have only yourself to blame.

Going poetic

MANY AMERICANS assume that since free speech is written into law in the United States the same right is available in European democracies.

On the contrary. You can be jailed in much of Europe for expressing an unapproved opinion.

The American version of this is being pelted with rotten tomatoes on elite university campuses.

One of my favorite guys is Bruce Bawer, a New York-born, gay writer who lives — since 1999 — with his best bud in Norway. Though he describes himself as liberal and has voted Democrat in the United States, he’s hard to categorize.

bawerBawer and I are in lockstep on the issue of Mohammedan “refugees.” Here is a poem he has published in Frontpage Mag:

* * * *

In Sønderberg the other day

A teenage girl used pepper spray
To rout a randy “refugee”
From somewhere far across the sea
Who threw down and molested her.
The cops arrested her.

As part of a jihadist plot,
A brute assailant took a shot
At a fine Copenhagen man
Who’d deprecated the Quran.
When the brave soul who’d nearly died
Then publicly identified
The thug who’d tried to kill him, he
Was charged with grave delinquency:
Breaching privacy.

In Mölndal, a Somali teen
Plunged a long blade into the spleen
Of a young Swedish altruist
Who’d yearned to do one thing: assist.
The land’s top cop went on TV
And trumpeted his sympathy.
For the poor girl who’d lost her life?
No. For the kid with the knife.

At one time it was understood
That a devotion to the good
Didn’t mean one should be blind
To evil, or pretend to find
Some virtue in sheer villainy.
To see what isn’t there to see
Is not a sign of rectitude.
To point out evil isn’t rude;
To fight it is good.

You can’t, however hard you try,
Mistake for a speck in the eye
A loaded Uzi in the hands
Of some rough beast from foreign sands
Intent on taking out a child.
You’ll win no points for being mild
To members of a desert creed
That seeks to make the heathen bleed
And preaches that the kind and meek
Are contemptibly weak.

Christ said to turn the other cheek.
But what if it’s not just your cheek?

War against men

I’M MAD AS Hell, and I’m not taking it anymore!

To what am I referring? The corporate war against men. Corporations are the root of all evil, as any clueless Smith College coed will assure you.

And what is the specific battlefield on which I wage war today? To wit: There are two sizes of nail clippers, right? A small version for fingers, and a large version for feet.

But those sizes are for women exclusively. The foot version doesn’t work for men’s feet unless the man is a midget.

I use the foot version for my fingers because the finger version fits my fingernails about as well as the foot version fits my footnails, which is to say not at all.

This is a clear corporate attack on men’s rights, men’s Constitutional and God-given rights to have neat feet.

And I’m sick unto death of it.

footLet’s be clear: The “big” clipper is about half as wide as my big toenail. And the smaller clipper for fingers likewise goes about halfway across my nails.

What are we to use? Hatchets? Cutlasses?

This is a feminist-lesbian plot* to diminish men, to put us in our place. I encourage all men to withhold sex from their women until something is done about this outrage.

Man up for nail clipper equality!

*Yes, feminist-lesbians are in bed with corporations. Who knew?

THIS VIDEO from my boy Bill Whittle hails from 2011, a blast from the past, but it’s just as applicable today as it was four years back.
