Those sleazy Republicans

I WAS BORN a Democrat. My parents were politically obsessed Democrats. My sister is one. My daughter is one. Both my ex-wives are Democrats. My grandparents, on both sides, were Democrats too. I was swimming in a Democrat Sea.

I was content with that. It made sense. Until …

I jumped the fence in 2007, but it had been brewing for years due to two things: First, the ballooning effects of Political Correctness back to the early 1990s. Political Correctness is a cultural cancer, the love child of Democrats, not Republicans. Second, the election of Barry Obama, but it was one element of his campaign that kicked me in the teeth.

That element was Rev. Jeremiah Wright and the revelation early in Barry’s 2007 campaign that Barry and Michelle had spent years sitting in a front-row pew of Wright’s anti-American, race-hate church. When Wright’s famous “God damn America” videos came to light early in the campaign, the action was swift and Draconian. Wright disappeared or, perhaps more accurately, was disappeared. Remember that?

It was my “Ah-Ha!” moment.

It was akin to those Stalin photos where political opponents were eliminated from the crowd. Wright was eliminated. And Americans, full of self-righteousness, elected their “first black president,” proving forever that racism was not in their hearts.

Except Obama is not black. He is biracial, as much white as black.

But that’s another, related, issue. America continues to delude itself. The nation still has to elect its first black president. Maybe one day. Likely be a Republican.

For the first time in my life I would have voted Republican. John McCain and Sarah Palin. Alas, some glitch in the absentee voting process kept me from voting that year. I was totally on board with McCain but in doubt about Palin. That has totally reversed. McCain turned out to be a vindictive turncoat, and Palin is a joy to behold.

Love that gal.

Like most Democrats I was largely ignorant of the two parties’ history. I was a newspaper guy! How did that happen? Because I was a newspaper guy. That’s how. The media have been inbred leftists for a long, long time.

And I was one.

But Democrats were the party of slavery, the Klan, Jim Crow, voter suppression and school segregation. Republicans were the party of emancipation, equal rights, school integration and the death of Jim Crow. Republicans today are about liberty and individualism. Democrats are about victimization and heavy-handed government.

Here are two five-minute videos from the great YouTube channel PragerU. The woman speaking is Carol Swain, a Vanderbilt University professor of political science and law. I know you leftists won’t watch because they are “inconvenient truths,” but you conservatives will enjoy them very much. Feel good about yourselves.

Good advice for black folks

HERE’S ONE OF my favorite black gals, Candace Owens.

She speaks so clearly that even professors at universities like Vassar, Reed and Brown can easily understand.

If you’re sitting at a green-felt table with your homies and a deck of cards, and the dealer tosses you the famous “Black Card,” fling it back at him, or on the floor, or into that trash can in the corner.

Everyone will be better off.

Death by Democrats

BILL WHITTLE  knocks it out of the park again.

Crow-Jimism

The late poet Kenneth Rexroth coined the phrase Crow-Jimism, which is the concept of Jim Crow flipped inside out.

During the Jim Crow era, blacks were roundly discriminated against in American life, primarily in the Old South. That is the past, and we are now in the nationwide era of Crow-Jimism. Blacks can do no wrong.

Crow
Crow

Crow-Jimism is the tendency of white Liberals to make special allowances for blacks who are guilty of any offense up to and including violent crimes.

But that is only one element of the Alice in Wonderland universe into which the Western world is collapsing.

Up has become down, orange has become green, and evil has become good. The Cheshire Cat is grinning.

Capitalism, the dynamic economic system that improved comfort and health, is bad. Marxism, the system that never fails to fail, is good.

National pride is bad. Our past is shameful. Our skin tone embarrassing.

Jim
Jim

Christianity and Judaism are bad. Mohammedanism is good. An increasing number of American states are issuing drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens. National boundaries are bad.

New York City recently put billboards on buses to bring attention to the growing problem of illegitimacy. Planned Parenthood yelled that it stigmatized unwed mothers who are mostly black.

A classic case of Crow-Jimism.

Judgments are not allowed in Alice’s New Wonderland, which exists almost exclusively in the Anglophone world and Western Europe.

Meanwhile, in Latin America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, those areas that snigger at multicultural Marxism and the glories of forced diversity, they police their borders, take pride in their religion, language, race and culture, as all self-respecting nations do.

And they smile and wait.
