Sean rips ’em a new one

SEAN HANNITY deserves a Pulitzer Prize for this very spirited commentary about the two years-plus of nonstop lying by the corrupt mainstream media/Democrat party, which are one and the same. It’s well worth watching.

But if you’re one of the leftists who lurk here, avoid the video. It will put you in a funk and worsen your TDS. Best to just re-read your last dog-eared copy of Mother Jones.

While the MSM has been hyperventilating over the phantom collusion, it has been burying all news of positive accomplishments by President Trump, which have been legion. About the only place I’ve found this available is on the White House website. Scroll down near the bottom and sign up for updates directly from the administration.

Ninety percent of the positive news available about the Trump Administration is found there because the MSM/Democrat Party simply ignores it. Sad state of affairs.

Candace’s Three Verticals

CANDACE OWENS rose to internet fame fairly recently. A number of factors caused this: She is smart. She speaks well. She’s black. She’s conservative.

It’s those last two traits that rattle the brains (such as they are) of leftists. A black conservative does not fit into their world view.

If you’ve never heard of her, I suggest you pull your nose out of The New York Times and Mother Jones, just for a few moments.

I subscribe to her YouTube channel and have seen most of her astute videos. This one, however, stands out. Her “three verticals” state clearly the primary problems facing young people, especially blacks, in today’s America.

Clueless Bernie-ites

HILLARY FINALLY said a true thing. She said Bernie Sanders is a one-issue candidate, and she’s correct. He’s all about battling “Wall Street,” she rightly observes.

But then there’s also the “free stuff.” Socialism is all about “free stuff,” which isn’t free at all, of course, but it sounds super.

I just read a column by Stephen Moore, an economic consultant with Freedom Works. The headline is Socialism’s Strange Appeal with a subhead Bernie Sanders and socialism are for those who cannot handle reality.

I’ll put a link to the column later, but I know those who disagree will be as disinclined to read it as I am disinclined to read Salon, Mother Jones, and Huffpost, so here are a few key points:

  1. The remarkable thing about the rise of Bernie Sanders is that his popularity runs counter to how socialism is actually working around the world. Bankrupt Greece, just one example, is modern socialism on steroids.
  2.  Leftists enjoy pointing to Sweden and Denmark as socialist success stories while Sweden and Denmark are back-pedaling as fast as they can.
  3. Economic freedom is the opposite of socialism.

Nations that are economically free have free trade, small welfare states, low taxes, a light hand of regulation, private ownership of the means of production, and the rule of law.

Countries that are economically free have five times the average income ($55,000) of countries that are the least economically free ($9,000). Not only that, economic freedom is also highly correlated with better education, improved health, and a cleaner environment.*

The poor do better in nations that are economically free and worse in Bernie Sanders land. You can read Moore’s complete column here. It ain’t that long.

Getting it right

right

OLE FELIPE is a conservative of the non-church variety, primarily a libertarian.

When I vote in U.S. elections (from afar), I vote Republican not because I much care for the Republican Party. I decidedly do not. They get too hung up on religious matters when other issues are far more pressing. No, I vote GOP because it’s the not-Democrat party, the only viable alternative.

Most of my life, I voted Democrat, so I am a recovering lefty. No, that’s incorrect. I am fully recovered.

It’s trendy in some circles to say there’s not much difference between the GOP and Democrats these days. This is silly. If you think the United States would be the same today had McCain won in 2008 or Romney in 2012 as the America over which Barry runs riot, you are quite in error.

Polarization is at a fever pitch. If get your news (and most Americans don’t get news from anywhere) from The New York Times, HuffPost, Slate, Mother Jones, NPR, etc., you have one viewpoint, a wrong one, in my opinion.

If, however, you get your news from the same places I get mine, you will be well informed.

As a public service, here they are:

1. The Washington Times.

2. Breitbart (my personal favorite).

3. Fox online (not as good as the most-watched TV news network).

4. Truth Revolt (Ben Shapiro, one sharp, young Jew).

5. Townhall.

6. Free Beacon.

7. The Federalist.

8. Independent Journal Review.

9. The Daily Caller.

10. The Blaze.

Due to the nonsense emanating from Barry’s White House, plus the shameless collectivist cheerleading done by the corrupt, mainstream media, new conservative news sources are popping up all over, a great thing.

Remember: The best government is the government that leaves you alone most of the time.
