Today is a momentous day in American history, the inauguration of its first Fake President, a senile old man with a Hooker-in-Waiting to assume his position. Stunning.
Brought to you by the Democrat Socialist Party.
But instead of focusing on that sad fact, let us take five minutes to appreciate an American treasure, the brilliant Thomas Sowell, and look at his rise from poverty in North Carolina to where he shines today at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
Sowell is a Truth-Teller. And he tells some good ones here.
Were he a white man, he would have been long since “canceled” for blasphemy, so who says being black in today’s America is a disadvantage? Quite the contrary.
Ask Barry Obama.
Now let us observe a minute of silence in honor of a once-great nation. And remember that:
Donald Trump was not my first choice during the Republican primaries in 2016. Ted Cruz was, and I still think Cruz would make a superlative president. Maybe in 2024. My fingers are crossed. He’s as pugilistic as Trump.
But I quickly came to love and admire Trump after he took office. I believe him to be one of the best presidents in U.S. history, especially if you consider the challenging times in which we now live. In my mind, Trump is tied with Abraham Lincoln.
The accomplishments of the Trump Administration are legion. I’m not going to write a long list here. However, if you’re interested, just do an internet search. But below is a short list of my favorites. Before I do that, however, I will point you to an article in The American Mind, a publication of the Claremont Institute.
They cite what they consider his greatest achievement, that he exposed the corruption of the American ruling class. And he surely did, which explains the ongoing venom he faced throughout his four years in office from the “powers that be,” the powers that, seeing their last chance to avoid another four years, blatantly blocked his reelection.
Here are just a few of my favorite Trump accomplishments:
Trade deal that replaced NAFTA.
Departing the ill-conceived Paris Climate Accords.
Low jobless rate, for blacks the lowest in half a century.
Tax cuts, both for individuals and businesses. Yes, spending cuts were needed too.
Slashing regulations. Hard to overstate the importance of this one.
Increased border security.
Increased military spending.
Embrace of Israel, the only Mideast nation where women walk free.
Putting China in its place.
Mideast peace agreements.
Not one new foreign war.
American energy independence.
End of ISIS.
Not so much an accomplishment as recognition of accomplishments were the five Nobel Peace Prize nominations. Five, count ’em.
If you’re a Democrat Socialist you’re unaware of these things because your “news sources” never mentioned them.
President Trump is one of a kind, in a very good way. America will be far worse off without him at the helm, punching the politically correct in the nose every darn day.
Behold today’s Democrat Socialist Oh-So-Woke Party, the people I used to hang with before they went over the edge and fell into a deep, putrid pit populated by men in women’s wear and ugly women with purple hair and too-short bangs.
You likely know nothing of this telling move if you get your “news” from CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post (“Democracy Dies in Darkness!”) and their unsavory ilk. And you are wondering … What move is that?
Nancy Pelosi, still upright at 80, has introduced rules changes for the upcoming Congress. They have to be voted on, but one wonders who will have the nerve to vote no? She wants to eliminate gender terms such as father, mother, son and daughter. All in the interest of inclusion and diversity, those unholy gods of the modern lunatic left.
But I’m just the messenger today in case you’ve not heard of this. You can read the grisly, absurd, patronizing details right here from an actual news outlet.
Successful civilizations come … and go. More often than not, it’s their very success that causes their departure. Sometimes they fall rapidly, mostly by military conquest, but other times it’s more gradual, and you get the first hint this way:
A bad smell.
Western Civilization now needs industrial-strength deodorant.
Academia has fallen — watch the video above by the perceptive Bill Whittle — and it’s impossible to overstate the significance of that. And recently, in the United States, democracy collapsed too. If you think Biden won 18 million more votes than Obama won in 2012, I have a London Bridge replica in Mexico’s northern desert you can buy for next to nothing.
The aroma grows worse by the day. If you don’t notice, it’s because you vote Democrat above the border, but the stench will overwhelm even you in time. Revolutions eat their own. Ask the French. And the Russians. And the Mexicans.
One aspect of the stink is the apologetic society.
Whittle addresses that beautifully in the video below.
Have a nice day. While you still can.
At times I feel like Winston Churchill talking to Neville Chamberlain.
