Shots & stupid stimulus

America’s IRS website tells me they mailed another Kung Flu stimulus check in my direction three days ago. I am vociferously opposed to this irresponsible nonsense of mailing cash willy-nilly all over the place with no regard for whether a person needs the money or not, whether a person has been financially harmed by the Kung Flu hysteria or not.

America is already drowning in debt, getting worse by the day. And it’s sending me money, a person who has not been financially harmed in any way whatsoever by the pandemic. It’s absurd and irresponsible.

The check in the mail is the third stimulus payment. I did not get the first one due to some bureaucratic reason, and I don’t care, but I did get the second one, which I cashed here. What else was I to do? Mail it back? Boy, that would have confused them. So I cashed it here in spite of my thinking it is unseemly.*

And if the third payment makes it through the Mexican mail system, I’ll cash it too. Perhaps I’ll use it to pay for the cataract surgery on my other eye, which is still pending, even though I am perfectly capable of using my own money for that.

Speaking of unseemly, the Gringos on our local internet forum are all a’twitter at the “free” money coming their way. They just cannot wait to get their hands on it.

Most are Democrats, of course. Unseemly, I tell you.

Speaking of the Kung Flu hysteria, I have decided not to get the vaccine, assuming it ever appears in my neck of the woods because Mexico’s distribution system is a poorly organized mess. I have decided to dodge the shot for a number of reasons.

One is that the pandemic is clearly winding down, as they always do. Two is that most cases are relatively mild. And very few people die. Yes, I am old, but I have no serious health issues and that’s almost always what kills people who catch the Kung Flu.

And also, the vaccine was a rush job. I am not an “anti-vaxxer.” I get the flu vaccine every year. I’ve received lots of vaccines. I welcome vaccines, but not rush jobs.

And when has a disease ever separated along political lines? In the United States, why are Democrat-run states trying to destroy private enterprise and Republican-run states much less so? Why are you far more free in Florida and South Dakota than you are in California, Michigan and Wisconsin? We’re living in a surreal world.

Something very strange is happening.

Looking only at Mexico with a population of about 130 million, to date, confirmed cases amount to 1.7 percent of the population. Deaths amount to 0.16 percent of the population. Those are really low numbers. And our pandemic is winding down noticeably.

What pushed me over the edge on the vaccine issue was a video I saw a few days ago, a speech delivered by Dr. Simone Gold who is also an attorney and founder of an organization named America’s Frontline Doctors. The video is about an hour long but well worth watching, especially if you’re still vaccine-free.

Back to the political aspect of the Kung Flu hysteria: Big Tech, mainstream media, showbiz, etc., have all gone to extremes to censor contrary opinions about the pandemic. Dr. Gold’s video was, of course, deleted from YouTube, but it’s available on Brighteon, one of a number of newer video channels dedicated to freedom of opinion.

To see Dr. Gold’s extremely impressive resumé, go here and scroll to the bottom. In spite of her sterling credentials, since she disagrees with the obligatory narrative surrounding the Kung Flu, she has been slandered by Big Tech and the leftist media.

And I don’t wear face masks either, except when it’s required to walk into a store. On the streets hereabouts, you can stroll mask-free with scant interference because Mexicans mind their own business. It’s just one more advantage of living in a free society.

* By cashed, I mean a money exchange gave me “real money,” i.e. Mexican pesos.

The current mess

I haven’t had much to say about American politics since last year’s election, just my March 1 post on how the election was stolen by the Democrat Socialists (How they did it), because I consider the United States a lost cause, circling the proverbial drain.

Along with much of Western Europe, all drowning in political correctness.

But let’s take a look now at the situation above the border. I hope those who’ll be hit hardest will be the nincompoops who voted against Trump because they simply don’t like his personality. I have to think that was the sole issue because whenever I ask someone why he dislikes Trump, I never get a reasonable answer, just meaningless epithets.

Never once anything concrete, and I’ve asked a lot. “Orange Man bad! Sexist! Racist! Homophobe! Liar!” Uh, got any actual examples? No?

So let’s look at the border where a new flood of Biden-loving illegals is pounding on the gates, and many have already leaped the hurdles. The border had been mostly pacified by Trump’s smart policies, which Sleepy Joe has reversed.

A nation that does not protect its borders in time ceases to be a nation, and a rich nation that does not protect its borders ceases to be a nation even faster.

Illegal-alien camp in Tijuana, awaiting the okay to cross the border. No covid tests required.

And let’s look at fuel prices, which have increased because Sleepy Joe reversed Trump’s policies that made America energy independent for the first time in decades.

Also, it’s been announced, tax increases, which are needed to fund Democrat Socialist “freebies,” are coming down the pike. Trump reduced taxes. And Sleepy Joe has already bombed Syria following the Trump years when the White House focused on domestic issues instead of uselessly and counterproductively killing foreigners.

Aside from leftist rioters in Democrat cities and hyperventilating news media flunkies, the Trump years were primarily tranquil.

Joe will not be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump was, five times. The best Biden can hope for is a Participation Trophy, but there’s no guarantee of even that.

His actual participation appears sketchy.

The White House releases Sleepy Joe’s daily schedule to the press. Unlike Trump’s accomplishment-filled days, Joe does pretty much nothing at all, literally. One or two brief events each day, and that’s about it. And when he does do something, he risks taking a tumble, falling on his ancient keister down the steps of Air Force One.

What is the focus of this administration? “Institutional racism.” Gender inequality. Long-gone pay gaps. Climate change. Transsexual rights. The entire silly agenda of Social Justice Warrior-ism. Soon Harris will be president, and that will worsen. And Nancy Pelosi will advance to just one heartbeat away from the presidency herself.

Did you know that?

If you get your “news” from The New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, NBC, NPR and their ilk, you are unaware of much of the above.

People who voted for Joe are ignoramuses, proving America to be a silly nation.

Nation of silly people

In the early 1990s, when I was still a Democrat, I watched Bill Maher’s TV show, Politically Incorrect, when I visited my mother in Atlanta. I liked Maher, and I liked the name of his show. Even when I was a Democrat, I considered political correctness horrendous.

And now PC is the bedrock of the Democrat Party.

When I wised up in 2008 and abandoned the Democrat Party, which I now correctly call the Democrat Socialist Party, I continued to see Maher online now and then. He considers himself a classical liberal and often criticizes today’s Democrat Socialists, which is smart, but he also badmouths Trump, which is ignorant.

Though primarily a leftist, Maher is often a fence-sitter. He straddles it with one leg in the Democrat Party and the other in a sea of common sense. One side is rank and smelly while the other side is clear thinking and sunshine.

But he sometimes hits topics on the nail head, which he does in this video. For years, I have called America a nation of spoiled people, folks who’ve never faced an existential threat in their lives, people who do not know history.

Maher is at times humorous and potty-mouthed (because he’s a Democrat) in the video, but what he’s saying is serious as a cemetery. And true.

BBC’s gobbledygook

I really should put Simon Webb on the payroll here. He’s like the Limey Felipe Zapata, the perception, the intelligence, the calm, the courtesy, the way with words. It’s like I’m looking at myself in a mirror but with a big goofy mustache.

As smart people already know, Western Civilization is committing suicide with its nincompoop cultural fixations on sexual issues and skin color while China sits back grinning and rolling its eyeballs at the stupidity of it all. China is thinking: All I have to do is exercise patience and wait, then move in.

The smart language to study these days is Mandarin.

In the United States, of course, the cultural fixations and the heavy-handed manner in which they are enforced come almost exclusively from those who identify with the Democrat Socialist Party. With the exception of a handful of air-headed Republicans, the culprits are the Democrats.

But before turning to Simon’s sharp take on the BBC’s “Diversity and Inclusion Plan,” I wish to mention that recently I heard Piers Morgan say with a straight face that the BBC is an even-handed purveyor of news, very little bias, mind you. (Insert laugh track here.)

Listen to the short video. If you’re smart, you’ll roll your eyeballs like China. If you’re not too bright, vote the Democrat Socialist line, you’ll get angry. Then you’ll notify someone to see if something cannot be done to shut him up in whatever manner necessary.
