I was a Democrat above the Rio Bravo all of my life, and I continued with that mindset till the 2008 presidential election.
One of the numerous things that caused me to switch sides was the inaugural in January 2009. A news camera was behind the stage just before Obama stepped out to take the oath of office. He had the look of a deer caught in the headlights. It really stuck with me. He no longer has that attitude. Quite the contrary. He’s full of himself.
It’s incredible that so many otherwise intelligent people continue to vote for Democrats. For decades now, states and cities run by Democrats are messes. High crime, high taxes, and bad ideas run rampant. Republicans create much nicer places.
As this six-minute video points out, people and businesses are fleeing blue states and moving to red states. It is never the reverse, just as Cubans raft from their island to Key West, not in the other direction. Incidentally, it’s not uncommon to encounter Democrats who think Cuba is a fine and dandy place.
Even famous liberal — the term actually applies to him, mostly — Bill Maher states the obvious. Perhaps some Democrat who reads The Moon — and who has not been blocked for rudeness — can explain why he or she sticks with that party. It’s a legitimate mystery to me.
This short video is dedicated to my cyber-amigo Antonio who, I believe, is the sole native Mexican who ever passes by The Unseen Moon, which I appreciate because I’m all about multiculturalism and diversity. Okay, that’s a laughable lie, but I do appreciate his comments.
And why am I dedicating this video to Antonio who is a man of the left? Because his reaction to a recent post — Columbia students join the Klan — was that he suspected the interviewer was cherry-picking, which is to say intentionally interviewing people who would prove the point he wanted to make. Cherry-picking is easy to do, of course, but I do not believe that other video was an example of it because I know that leftist ideology runs rampant at American universities. It would be difficult to find students willing to state the contrary of what that video demonstrated.
In this video, a young university graduate tells her story, how she entered her university as a wide-eyed idealist and left it four years later as a sensible conservative. I hope her experience is not rare. I hope other university students exit universities similarly wised up, even though they must keep quiet on campus to avoid ostracism or actual violence.
Is this another example of cherry-picking? I think not.
I really should put Simon Webb on the payroll here. He’s like the Limey Felipe Zapata, the perception, the intelligence, the calm, the courtesy, the way with words. It’s like I’m looking at myself in a mirror but with a big goofy mustache.
As smart people already know, Western Civilization is committing suicide with its nincompoop cultural fixations on sexual issues and skin color while China sits back grinning and rolling its eyeballs at the stupidity of it all. China is thinking: All I have to do is exercise patience and wait, then move in.
The smart language to study these days is Mandarin.
In the United States, of course, the cultural fixations and the heavy-handed manner in which they are enforced come almost exclusively from those who identify with the Democrat Socialist Party. With the exception of a handful of air-headed Republicans, the culprits are the Democrats.
But before turning to Simon’s sharp take on the BBC’s “Diversity and Inclusion Plan,” I wish to mention that recently I heard Piers Morgan say with a straight face that the BBC is an even-handed purveyor of news, very little bias, mind you. (Insert laugh track here.)
Listen to the short video. If you’re smart, you’ll roll your eyeballs like China. If you’re not too bright, vote the Democrat Socialist line, you’ll get angry. Then you’ll notify someone to see if something cannot be done to shut him up in whatever manner necessary.
The Mexican president occasionally gets something right. He has refused to acknowledge that Sleepy Joe Biden and Round-Heels Harris won the U.S. election. Same goes for some nations of Central Europe, those that are not left-wing, of course, which many nations in Western Europe are.
The mainstream media or, as my amigo Kim G. refers to them, the mis-leadia, are presenting Biden’s “victory” as a done deal, which it is not, of course, because journalists do not decide who wins elections.
That the Tuesday vote was a case study of Democrat corruption is clear. See the video above and/or the one below with Rudy Giuliani in Philadelphia where GOP poll watchers were not allowed to poll watch.
