Out of the dark

DARKNESS IS the new black.

The leftist media has cited “darkness” repeatedly since the election of President Trump. The Washington Post, more leftist even than The New York Times, recently added “Democracy Dies in Darkness” to its online masthead.

The Post says it has nothing to do with Trump.

Yeah, right.

I don’t want to be associated with leftists and their dark obsessions in any form, so I am abandoning entirely the dark photos I’ve used here for avatars for a long time.

Gone is the black hat and the dark bebop cap in black & white photos. I am out of the cave. The new face to the world is this, which was taken about 12 years ago.

New

I am enjoying a churro* in the restaurant owned in downtown San Miguel de Allende by Mexican actress Margarita Gralia.

Old

While I added this photo to my comments avatar weeks ago, it was only today that I made it official by adding it to the Felipe Page up thataway.

This change has lifted a darkness from my spirit. I feel more upbeat, happier and fulfilled. Let’s leave the darkness to Democrats and other sourpusses.

Conservatives are happy, colorful people.

* Churros sometimes are sold filled with something like chocolate. This is an abomination. Churros should always be eaten au naturel.

Where art thou?

HERE’S A FUN quiz, making The Unseen Moon sort of like a ladies’ magazine. They’re often full of quizzes that appeal to the womenfolk, especially when the quizzes have to do with men, sex, apparel and hairdos.

New ImageMy quiz, not surprisingly, is a political test. It’s very short, and it’s reportedly quite accurate in pinpointing where one sits in the great scheme of political life.

The quiz allegedly has been taken by 23 million people.

I think of myself as very conservative, and left-wing passersby, some of whom had to be eventually blackballed here for lack of class, have been fond of calling me a right-wing nut, fascist, Nazi and, of course, the ever-popular racist!

Fact is I’m just a regular guy who believes in liberty and being left alone and, it turns out, more libertarian than Nazi.

In light of this, I have changed the category line of Right-Wing View that appeared above all headlines here on political issues to Libertarian View, which is more accurate though it does not get the collectivists lathered up as nicely as the right-wing label, and that’s always been such fun.

You’ll find the quiz on this page.

Here are my test results. Feel free to share yours.

Enjoy Valentine’s Day, which is sorta my 14th anniversary.

Trump’s ride

Better than Air Force One, and no taxpayer dollars involved. Sweet ride.

A new poll indicates The Donald has the support of 25 percent of blacks and 31 percent of Latinos. Don’t that beat all?

But Ted Cruz remains my main man.

The lady warriors

THE AMERICAN elites’ politically correct obsession with putting women into military infantry and other front-line combat positions soldiers on.

Because women can do anything a man can do. There is absolutely no difference, aside from plumbing and what dangles where, between the capabilities and talents of the two. It’s about fairness, you know.

Arrant nonsense, of course.

girl

It appears that President Barry is poised to order women into direct-combat positions by January 2016. A military that does this has a death wish, no matter how much you gussy up the gals in camo.

Women do have a long history with fighting forces. Camp prostitutes, of course, and in certain periods of European history — when wars were a more gentlemanly affair than they are today — many soldiers brought their wives along on campaigns to sew and cook and love.

The ladies got to watch battles from a nearby hill, but no safe hills exist these days.

And the great American experiment that began in 1776 continues its disintegration into nuttiness, mostly brought to you by clueless, dreamy-eyed collectivists.

These notions invariably spring from the NDP, not Republicans. Keep that in mind the next time you’re inclined to say the two parties are the same, so why bother to vote?

We are engaged in a religious war with Mohammedans. The Mohammedans do not bring women to their battles, and Mohammedans react nastily when they encounter women opposing them.

You’ll end up with sand between your butt cheeks as a camp prostitute for the other side. It won’t resemble what you were led to expect during “empowering” Women’s Studies at Bryn Mawr. Not by a long shot.

The awakening

It's morning in America.
It’s morning in America.

“THE OBAMA ERA is over.” So opined one of the collectivist mouthpieces Tuesday night on the basement-rated Bolshevik television network called MSNBC.

I was somewhat surprised at the election results. I was not as optimistic as many on our — the clearer thinking — side of the political spectrum. I mean, after Barry was re-elected against all common sense in 2012, who would have thought the American voter would come to his senses? Not me.

Here’s my prediction for the two years left in Barry’s term: The Republicans will try to legislatively set the national ship back on a straight course … and Barry will veto it, repeatedly. Simultaneously, Barry (wonderfully dubbed “The Precious” by a wag on Breitbart News) will attempt to further his left-wing dreams by edict.

International visits to other nations by the president will mostly end.* What would be the point? There will be an exception to this. Queen Michelle and the little princesses will continue taxpayer-funded vacations.

And the Queen will still accept all invites to fawning talk shows and celebrity parties. However, I imagine those invitations will be coming far less often than before, don’t you?

Upshots: Hillary (Barry in panties) now has the proverbial ice cube’s chance in Hell of being the next president. The NDP* has some serious and rapid thinking to do.

This morning, Ben Carson, an actual black dude, officially changed his party affiliation from Independent to Republican. Obviously, he has a presidential campaign in mind. I hope so.

Carson quote: “I believe in reasonable sized government. I believe in personal responsibility. I believe in individual freedom. And I believe in creating an environment to let free markets grow our economy. And all of that is very consistent with being a Republican.”  Amen, brother.

I like Carson, but there will be other contenders to replace The Precious. Time will tell. For now, let us celebrate.

Oh yes, almost forgot, Mia Love will become the first black Republican woman in the House of Representatives. You see, contrary to what the NDP endlessly drills into your noggins, Republicans have nothing against blacks. We just prefer the sharp ones, those who are not race-baiters like Al Sharpton and Pastor Jeremiah Wright.**

* Barry is off to Burma next week, a trip scheduled before the midterms. Pray that he stays.

* * The New Democratic Party, which has little in common with Harry Truman’s Democratic Party.

*** The radical pastor who Barry hastily and wisely swept under the rug in 2008.

Black dream team

politicos

I RECENTLY wrote a critical list of Barry Obama’s presidency. When it appeared on Facebook, not surprisingly, one of the reactions, the most overused and tiresome, from a Barry fan was that I am a racist.

Yawn.

It came, not surprisingly, from a member of the U.S. media (an adopted Texan who should know better*) and we know how fond most of those media people are of their faux-black president.

The individual in question did not come right out and call me a racist. He was a tad more subtle, saying that I obviously would not be happy till I saw a white president. In other words, it’s all about race, and criticism of Obama is always racism. There was some pointing at Bush, their fall-back defense. Dubya done it!

No doubt there are some people who don’t like Barry because they think the mulatto** is black. Most criticism of the failed presidency, however, is based on performance. Certainly, mine is. The melatonin content of the president is of no concern whatsoever.

To illustrate: Here is my black dream team for the White House.

President: Dr. Ben Carson.

Chief adviser: Thomas Sowell.

Vice President: Allan Keyes.

Secretary of Defense: Allen West.

Secretary of Commerce: Herman Cain.

Secretary of State: Condoleezza Rice.

Secretary of the Treasury: Tim Scott.

Secretary of Health and Human Services: Mia Love.

Secretary of Labor: J.C. Watts.

Environmental Protection: Angela McGlowan.

Department of Education: Joseph C. Phillips.

Housing and Urban Development: Lynn Swann.

Homeland Security: Crystal Wright.

I could go on, but you get the point. This issue is political belief, not skin tone. All of the above favor limited government, low taxes, a strong military, liberty, capitalism, individual responsibility, etc.

They would be a dream team, and black faces all. God bless ’em!

* He will remain unnamed to avoid embarrassing him.

** An old-fashioned but correct term.

(Note: If Rick Perry had a much better tan, I would have put him into the vice presidential slot and moved Allan Keyes elsewhere. Keyes — a repeated presidential hopeful — is a little wacky, which is why I tagged him for VP. The smirking Biden has set a new, zany tone for that do-nothing post.)
