Confederacy of dunces

THIS IS hilarious. And I’m a sharing sort of fellow.

The Democratic Socialists held a convention in Atlanta last weekend. I would say they all came out of their parents’ basements to attend, but there are old people visible too.

I wonder if my sister flew in from her home in the Socialist Republic of California.

Just so you know, I’m a he/him. “Guy” is fine too.

Below is a slightly longer clip if you want to howl some more. Part of the longer one repeats some of the above clip, but there’s quite a bit of additional hilarity available.

Stockholm Syndrome, internet-style

New Image
This is Stockholm, and you likely live there. It’s cold.

THE INTERNET is a vital element of our lives, and it affects the way we think in a major way.

As most everyone knows, mega-businesses like Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube (owned by Google), LinkedIn and many more embrace the ideology of the radical left. And they use their stunningly wide reach to indoctrinate nonsense and censor while simultaneously enriching themselves.

They are smart people. The left is far smarter than the right, which is often boneheadedly stupid and walks straight into the clutches of the left.

Since leftists control academia, much of business, all of entertainment and, of course, the internet,* they directly or indirectly influence the thought processes of everyone, even conservatives who should know better.

I think we’re looking at a sort of Stockholm Syndrome. I’ll assume you know what this is. If not, click on the link.

How else to explain the conservatives’ blind spots on vital issues.

  1. Conservatives, with some exceptions (me being one), persist in referring to leftists as “liberals” and “progressives,” which is arrant nonsense. I am fond of Dennis Prager’s quote: The usurpation of the word “liberal” by the left has been a catastrophe. Even conservative firebrands like Ann Coulter often refer to leftists as liberals and progressives. Shame on her.
  2. Conservative news websites such as Breitbart, The Washington Times, The Daily Caller, Ben Shapiro’s The Daily Wire, well, pretty much everyone, place links on their sites to “share” on Facebook, Twitter, Google, LinkedIn, etc. Even though there are numerous, new, conservative alternatives to those public-relations mouthpieces for the Democrat Party, the conservative sites snooze in the leftists’ beds and plug them daily. Shameful.

I’m guessing that you too suffer from Stockholm Syndrome, internet-style. I would wager my wages that you have a Facebook account, probably Twitter too. You know they are evil, but you cannot pull yourself away because your friends are there, your “friends” too. And all those cute videos of puppies.

Oh, the flowers and recipes!

You know that if you switch to up-and-coming alternatives, especially those devoted to free speech and that don’t sell your data, and you invite your friends to follow you there that they will not. They cannot. They’re caught in Stockholm.

The Masters of the Universe, as the leftist social media are accurately labeled, maintain that position due to the massive number of accounts they possess and profit from. If one of those accounts is yours, you reside in snowy Stockholm.

Like it or not, know it or not, there is a war under way. The violence level currently is low, but it will escalate. When the war is done, and we are victorious as we will be, there will be consequences.

At best, you will be paraded through the streets with your head shaved. At worst, you will be shot. Avoid this. Free yourself. Choose a side.

Don’t be a collaborator.

Kwanzaa vs. Festivus: You decide

New Image

YOU’VE SURELY heard of Kwanzaa, the Christmas substitute for black folks, and lots of black folks “celebrate” it too, to their everlasting shame.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the roots of Kwanzaa, click here for full details.

Best to stick with Christmas, soul bros.

But if you’ve got a problem with a White Christmas, here’s a fine alternative: Festivus! It’s a seasonal holiday that doesn’t include a criminal element.

Right-wing digest

ANYONE WHO’S been passing through here for at least a year knows I’m a Trump fan. I voted for him long-distance and think he’s not only a breath of fresh air in Washington but that he’s trying to fulfill his campaign promises in spite of opposition from both Democrats and Republicans.

donIf given the chance, I’ll vote for him again.

Trump, like me, is ostensibly a Republican, but I don’t think he’s much of one, and neither am I. I’m Republican simply because it’s the only voting option in America that is not the Democrat Party, which was my party for decades.

The Democrat Party has become extremist, succumbing to political correctness, pie-in-the-sky socialism, and race-baiting, among countless other sins.

If you follow conservative news sources, you know that Trump is having a slow slog due to opposition from both Democrats and, incredibly, Republicans. Most U.S. politicians, no matter the party, are corrupt, self-serving, nincompoops.

If you follow left-wing news sources, you know that Trump is an orange-haired monster married to a prostitute.* His daily life is dedicated to lynching “negros,” grabbing women’s hoohahs and persecuting Mohammedans.

Speaking of news sources, I’m going to tell you some good conservative ones. I read them every morning online. I do not subscribe to actual newspapers. Very few people in Mexico do, and I don’t watch television news.

I’m strictly an online guy.

I pay virtually no attention to Mexican news. Although I vote here, I let Mexico take care of itself — and hope for the best.

(Amusingly, a few years ago, I was asked to be the honcho of our local polling station. An all-day commitment, I turned it down. Another reason was that I did not think my Mexican neighbors would appreciate a Gringo overseeing their voting.)

But the title of this post is its purpose. I am sharing my conservative news sources with you. Some right-wing sources are as silly as left-wing ones.

Read mine, however, and you’ll get smarter.

What may be surprising is that I read neither Breitbart nor Fox’s websites. I dodge Breitbart because they focus too much on trivialities, and they incredibly fired a staffer months back over a purely PC issue.

I don’t read Fox’s website because the company stupidly threw Bill O’Reilly overboard. I don’t always agree with Bill, mostly due to his Catholicism, but he was the heart of Fox. Plus, Fox’s website is heavy on silly showbiz gossip.

Without further ado, here’s where you can get some straight-shooting conservative coverage with a minimum of showbiz fluff and wacky conspiracy theories:

  1. The Washington Times, solid, sober coverage that you often don’t get in that other Washington newspaper.
  2. The Daily Caller.
  3. The Gateway Pundit.
  4. The Daily Wire, Ben Shapiro’s home. Try to ignore the pop-up pushing his free book.
  5. Truth Revolt.

I know there are lots of others, but these are my Fav Five.

melania* Melania is growing on me. I initially considered her little more than a trophy wife. She is that, but I like her. She’s buena gente. After Ivana and Marla, Trump only had one way to go: up. And he did.
