The press has been playing defense for Portland anarchists for weeks, suggesting riots and arson against a federal courthouse were provoked by federal agents protecting it.
— The Wall Street Journal
So much for that. Over the weekend Portland police were forced to declare two riots.
— The Associated Press
I rarely read The New York Times, but this morning I looked at its home page. There is not one word about the ongoing riots in Portland. Zilch. There is a small headline down-page that says, “Seattle police chief to resign as council seeks budget cuts.”
Budget cuts! What the council voted to do was defund the Seattle Police Department by a whopping 50 percent. It’s a ho-hum, slanted headline.
Both Portland and Seattle are run by Democrats.
There are, however, numerous headlines pushing racial issues. “Racism’s hidden toll,” “Meet the Brave But Overlooked Women of Color Who Fought for the Vote” “For Doctors of Color, Microaggressions Are All Too Familiar.”
No lack of race-based coverage and obsession with victimization.
Then I turned to the home page of The Washington Post. Again, not one word about the nightly riots in Portland. To its small credit, however, down-page again, there is a story about the Seattle police chief’s resignation, and the defunding issue is mentioned in the headline as it should be.
One thing that stands out to this former newspaper editor, i.e. me, is that both papers, running down the right side of the home page, cite their editorial columns, most of which are either race-focused or pure Trump hate. This adding of editorial pieces to the home page/front page is not how things are normally done. It’s a tactic to promote the racial issues and Trump hate in the most direct way possible.
Opinions traditionally appear on opinion pages, not the front page, the new placement of which gives the opinions the odor of fact. Intentional, of course.
It started for me in 2007 when it came to light that the Obamas had sat for 20 years in the church of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, he of the “Goddamn America” sermon. Wright was quickly muzzled by Obama’s handlers.
It went downhill from there between me and the Democrat Party for which my entire family had proudly voted for decades.
There was Political Correctness, that ham-fisted ideology that blossomed in the 1990s and just got worse. Later, the lunacy kicked in. Putting fat gals in the Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated in the name of “equality.” Obesity is a serious health issue, not something to be glorified. Obesity isn’t just another valid lifestyle choice.
And there is Cancel Culture. Share our opinion or be fired. From the disturbing, it’s descended into madness. Take Aunt Jemima off the syrup jar. Change the names of sports teams. Don black clothing and masks to march and riot in the streets.
Can’t dress like Pancho Villa for Halloween unless you’re Mexican. Actors can’t play disabled people in movies unless they are themselves disabled.
Last night at the restarting of the NBA games, every player and coach on both teams, 100 percent, took to their knees before the national anthem, thumbing their noses at the flag of the nation that made them wealthy and privileged.
Conservatives are squelched online by Big Tech. Black Lives Matter — which consists to a great degree of white leftists whose aim is Marxism, a word they wisely removed from their website not long ago — still laughably states on its website:
We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family.
The film classic Gone With the Wind is blocked from online streaming. Statues are toppled, not just of Gen. Robert E. Lee but the Great Emancipator Abraham Lincoln himself, which demonstrates a dizzying level of ignorance.
Speaking of nincompoopery, here’s a very smart and brave girl who goes by Cringe Panda online. Her internet fame has skyrocketed since the first of the year. Watch her address the appalling state of public education.
No need to watch the entire thing. The first five minutes will educate you.
All of the above and much more flows totally from the left side of the political divide, those people who vote Democrat. All of it, 100 percent.
And if you are unaware of the things I mentioned, consider finding news sources other than The New York Times, Washington Post, Huffpost and MSNBC.
You’re being duped.
If you are aware of the things I mentioned, and you still vote Democrat, that is far worse, and I’m ashamed of you. But let’s move on to:
The presumed Democrat presidential nominee is that hated thing, an old white man, and decades-long political hack. How did this happen?
It happened because actual Democrat voters, most of whom are not Marxists, participated in the primary elections, and apparently grass-roots Democrats were not happy with the radical choices they saw on the debate stages. Every Democrat, for instance, raised a hand when asked if they supported “free” healthcare for illegal aliens. Even Joe.
Voters opted for the old shoe they knew, smelly as it is.
Tulsi Gabbard, the best of the sorry lot, would have shot her candidacy skyward had she the bravery to leave her hand down to the question of healthcare for illegals. The move would have stuck out like the proverbial sore thumb but in a positive way. She killed her chances with that one raise of the arm.
She was the only one who had a prayer of beating Trump.
He will nominate a radical woman “of color” because the leftist party bosses have him by the short hairs. He’ll do anything to be president. He’d get on all fours and bark.
Take a close look at the vice-presidential nominee, and think hard about how Democrats are running cities and states these days. The riots, lawlessness, Antifa, BLM, high taxes, vagrancy, high-priced housing, tent cities, and so on.
Again, if you’re unaware of these things, consider finding news sources other than The New York Times, Washington Post, Huffpost and MSNBC.
You’re being duped.
Consider doing what I did in 2007: Leave the Democrat Party.
First off, there’s the video above, less than three minutes for the attention-challenged, in which Fox commentator Tucker Carlson addresses the issue of The New York Times’ planning to dox him. That means print his home address so radicals can threaten his family. Carlson already was forced to move not that long ago due to an assault on his home by Antifa, the Black Shirt arm of today’s Democrat Party.
For those who still maintain the NYT is the Old Gray Lady of Journalism, well, there is no hope for you. By the way, The Washington Post is no better.
Recall that editorialist Bari Weiss, who recently resigned from the NYT, cited “the new McCarthyism (that) has taken root at the paper.” Click here for that.
It boggles the mind. A major newspaper that wants to incite violence against a public figure who holds opinions it disagrees with.
And then there is Michelle Malkin, a conservative pundit and “woman of color,” who was attacked by the Black Shirt arm of the Democrat Party while attending a pro-police rally Sunday in Denver. The police, ironically, did little to protect her which is not surprising since the Denver police chief has kneeled in support of Black Lives Matter.
Malkin survived intact, thankfully.
Lastly, teen hysteric Greta Thunberg has been awarded a 1 million Euro prize from something called the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation for her “contributions” in the fight against climate change. That’s $1,151,675 in U.S. dollars and over 25 million Mexican pesos, so we’re talking some serious moola here. Greta’s parents gotta be grinning.
Michelle Malkin Tweeted following her Denver visit: “I’m okay. America isn’t.”
Let’s broaden that: Much of the Western World isn’t.
That part north of the equator.

(Update: It appears the NYT changed its evil mind about printing Tucker’s home address.)
In case you are unaware of the #WalkAway movement, which exists in real life and on YouTube, it is full of folks — more and more every day — who once voted Democrat but have seen the light.
I am one of those people though I’ve made no YouTube video, nor am I likely to. I walked away in 2007, earlier than most.
This woman, whose name is Bree, was a Bernie fanatic and a self-admitted, brainwashed, intolerant Social Justice Warrior. But after the 2016 presidential election, her eyes were opened. The first video predated the second by about a month.
Watch both. She’s a babe. Both videos were made in the summer of 2018, and the #WalkAway Movement has grown even greater since then. The movement was begun by a gay, New York hairstylist named Brandon Straka.
Note that there is no corresponding movement of people jumping ship in the other direction. The flood runs one way, away from the left toward clear thought and liberty.
If you suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome, if you believe government owes you a living, if you think capitalism is the root of all evil, if you regularly read The New York Times and The Washington Post, thinking they keep you politically informed, if you watch CNN and MSNBC, if you think the United States is a terrible place and always has been …
… if you think blacks are always victims, that Jeffrey Epstein did commit suicide, that it was “Hillary’s turn,” that all cultures have equal value (except America’s, which is racist!), that women never lie about sex, that people don’t kill people, guns do …
… if you wear a pink pussy hat without feeling like a fool and if you cut contact with friends and family on Facebook and Instagram because they have different opinions …
… if you think President Trump hates gays, “people of color,” Mohammedans, Chinamen, and Mexicans, if you think Trump abuses women, and pimps out Melania whenever the Secret Service looks the other way, take a moment and listen to the words of this once-Woke woman who used to be your Soul Sister. You could be redeemable too.
