Masks, flags & words

Yes, it’s that time again, time to focus on leftist lunacy. First, we stress the political aspect, with Bill Maher, of the Kung Flu, and then there’s that New York Times editorial writer who is “disturbed” by seeing American flags. She is young, female and black,* so you know she was a diversity hire, i.e. affirmative action. I’m unfamiliar with the other NYT editorial writers, but you can count on their being cut from similar cloth.

If you get your “news” from the NYT or The Washington Post and their ilk, you are misinformed to a shocking degree. You need help.

Regular reading of The Unseen Moon is a good start. We’re here to assist.

A word about words

There’s lots of name-calling going on in these troubled times, and much of it is outdated. Indeed, many words now are misused, often intentionally for political purposes. The most obvious is that almost everyone mistakenly refers to leftists as “liberals” and “progressives,” which would be laughable aside from the dreadful effects of it. Leftists are masters of word twists. Conservatives are perilously lousy at it.

Leftists call conservatives “Nazis” and “fascists,” which we aren’t. But when conservatives refer to modern leftists as “Marxists,” there is little correct about that either. Did Marx opine on misgendering, sex-change surgeries, non-binary pronouns, biological men in women’s sports? Was Marx “offended” at this, that and the other? Was there a Marx Cancel Culture? Would Marx have tried to get someone fired for having a different opinion?

Did Marx self-loathe because he was white? (Watch the appalling video below.)

Would Marx have been on board with gay marriage? Did Marx oppose traditional marriage? The answer to all those questions is no. About the only thing Marxist about today’s left is big government and obligated income equality. The other stuff? Nah.

Modern leftists are much more than Marxists. They are far worse.

And Republicans are the liberals now.

*The most notable of those three characteristics is her youth. Editorial writers should possess wisdom and knowledge, something young people rarely have. Traditionally, editorial boards consist of older people with experience in the journalism trenches. They are not indoctrinated, diversity hires right out of Rutgers or NYU.

Off the proverbial charts

Photo from The New York Times, making absurd comparisons.

I occasionally skim the websites of The New York Times and The Washington Post out of curiosity and to gauge the high levels of nincompoopery you encounter there.

At the very top of The Post‘s page today we are told “Domestic terror incidents surge, led by white supremacists and far right.” This conclusion, we’re informed, comes from “an analysis” done by — wait for it — The Washington Post itself! This is arrant nonsense, and one wonders if The Post knows of the ongoing Antifa riots? Over the weekend, for instance, Antifa torched a Portland federal building with immigration agents trapped inside.

There was zero mention of that by either The Post or The Times. Not a peep.

Let’s turn now to what inspired me to write what I am now writing. It may be the most hilariously outrageous leftist delusional nonsense of the year. Right there on The New York Times website, giving new meaning to the word chutzpah, is a piece headlined: Can Biden Be Our FDR? I swear you cannot make this stuff up.

Silly Washington Post

I scan the websites of The Washington Post, The New York Times and their ilk on occasion just to see how ridiculous it has become, and it’s become pretty ridiculous.

The Post has, not surprisingly, endorsed Sleepy Joe. I glanced down the long editorial in which they sing his praises while simultaneously dissing President Trump. According to The Post, Sleepy Joe is “exceptionally well-qualified by character and experience.”

(Pause for tear-inducing hilarity.)

The Post also says Sleepy Joe “would restore decency, honor and competence to America’s government.” Joe is “deeply empathetic.” The corrupt newspaper then mentions the completely debunked claim that President Trump referred to wounded and fallen U.S. soldiers as “losers.” Never happened.

Tip: To pull off a lie, make it at least remotely plausible.

And get this: Sleepy Joe chose as his running mate Round-Heels Harris, the woman who “almost everyone agreed was the most qualified.” You might recall that Harris dropped out of the primaries early on because pretty much no one wanted her.

Tulsi Gabbard ripped her a new one during a debate. Fun to watch.

The Post then — hilarity alert! — claimed Trump has “few accomplishments in his first term and no agenda for his second.” I imagine the editorial writer gets all his news from The Washington Post, not from the wider world.

President Trump has been nominated not once, not twice, but three times so far for the Nobel Peace Prize. Here’s a brief video in which an Australian law professor points to a number of the great works done by the Trump Administration, none of which, I am sure, were reported by the corrupt, mainstream, U.S. media.

Welcome to the right side

Want to have a good time? Watch WalkAway videos on YouTube. Staunch members of the Democrat Socialist Party, formerly known as the Democrat Party, will tell you it’s a fake movement of Russian bots, or something like that, but it’s quite real, formed by Brandon Straka, a gay, New York City hairstylist, two years ago.

Thousands of people are abandoning the Democrat Socialist Party and moving to the GOP. There is no corresponding movement of people going in the other direction. Think of it this way: Cubans paddle toward Key West, but no one paddles toward Havana.

What’s perhaps most interesting about the WalkAway Movement is its diversity. Blacks, Anglos, Latinos, Christians, non-believers, men, women, straights, gays, transsexuals, you name it, which puts the lie to what the Democrat Socialist Party would have you believe, that the GOP is just racist, straight, white rednecks. We are the real rainbow.

The video above is a good example. Meet Ricky Rebel from Hollywood.

If you’ve always voted Democrat, as I did till 2007, know that you can join the multitude that’s quitting the Democrat Socialists, and you can vote in your best interests. Don’t be a sheep. Don’t listen to CNN, NPR or read The New York Times or The Washington Post if you want accurate news.

Hop on the raft to our Key West. You’ll find free speech, a sense of humor, mojitos, black bean soup and empanadas waiting on the dock, nice and warm.
